Beth Shirk

Assistant to the President & CEO

Beth Shirk serves as Assistant to the President & CEO where she supports day-to-day operations, social media management, and development of key organizational relationships.

Prior to joining GSR, Beth developed her digital communications skills as a social media specialist at the Wilson Center, where she transformed nuanced foreign policy analysis into accessible and engaging content for global audiences. As a graduate student, Beth's research focused on crisis communications in the public sector, specifically in regard to global conflict. At Global Situation Room, Beth draws on her professional and research experience to bridge communications gaps and develop sustainable relationships.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in French from Truman State University and a Master of Science in Public Relations from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
